NCL Apprentice Vacancy 2026 Notification
The 1,607 available training slots are strategically divided across diverse academic backgrounds. The breakdown of vacancies by apprentice tier includes:

Trade Apprentices (ITI): 889 seats (Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Motor Mechanic Vehicle, etc.)

Diploma Apprentices: 315 seats (Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, etc.)

Graduate Apprentices: 234 seats (B.E./B.Tech, B.Com, B.Sc, B.A., BCA, LLB)

Paramedical Apprentices: 169 seats (Nursing, Pharmacy, Pathology, Physiotherapy, etc.)
Important Geographical Eligibility: As per the official guidelines, only Indian nationals who have completed their qualifying degree, diploma, or ITI certificate from recognized institutions located in Uttar Pradesh (UP) or Madhya Pradesh (MP) are eligible to apply.

Candidates must be born between June 1, 2000, and June 1, 2008.
Age Relaxations:

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years (Up to 29 years)

2. Educational Qualification

Trade Apprentice: Passed 10th standard along with a full-time ITI course (NCVT/SCVT recognized) in the relevant trade.

Diploma Apprentice: A 3-year regular Diploma in Engineering or respective stream from an AICTE/BTE-recognized institute.

Graduate Apprentice: A regular Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Com/B.A./BCA/LLB) from a UGC-recognized university.

Paramedical Apprentice: Relevant Degree or Diploma in paramedical branches (B.Sc Nursing, GNM, D.Pharma, BPT, DMLT).
Note: Candidates who passed their qualifying examinations prior to June 2022 are not eligible to apply.
Monthly Stipend Structure
Selected trainees will receive a consolidated monthly stipend throughout their 1-year training period, depending on their discipline:

Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month

NCL Apprentice Application Fee
There is no application fee to apply for the NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Applying for all categories (General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD) is completely free of cost.

NCL Apprentice 2026 Selection Process
The selection layout ensures complete transparency and involves three distinct stages:

Preparation of Merit List: Shortlisting is based purely on the percentage of marks obtained in the core qualifying exam (ITI, Diploma, or Degree). There is no written test or interview.

Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called to verify their original academic documents, caste certificates, and identity proofs.

Medical Examination: Candidates clearing DV must clear a routine medical fitness examination conducted under the provisions of the Mines Rules, 1955.
