MECL Recruitment 2026 Qualification
-
Accountant: Graduate with Intermediate pass of CA/ICWA alongside relevant post-qualification experience.
-
Technicians & Mechanics: ITI certificate or relevant Diploma in appropriate trades (Survey, Electrician, Machinist, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, etc.) with necessary post-qualification industrial experience.

Assistants & Stenographers: Graduation in relevant streams (B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, BA, BBA, etc.) or specific trade certifications like English shorthand.

Junior Driver: 10th class pass with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licenses.

Selection Process
The multi-stage selection procedure consists of:

Screening of Applications: Shortlisting based on online application data and eligibility criteria.

Written Competitive Examination: Objective test carrying 100% weightage, conducted at Nagpur via an independent external agency. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS and 45% for SC/ST candidates.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called in a ratio of up to 1:7 for document validation.

Skill / Trade Test: Practical evaluation of a qualifying (‘Suitable’ / ‘Not Suitable’) nature. Final merit is drawn strictly from written test scores.
